Using the Email Tester

Internal Article - Not to be shared with customers.

The Email Tester allows customer support to send/receive an email as if they were the end recipient.


To: This is the address to which you want to receive the email. Usually your own email. This should never be the same as the From email address.

From: This will be the email address of the user for the signature you wish to see. 

Subject: Any subject will work. Test, Test1, etc

Do Not Track: This is checked by default and should remain clicked or it will be viewed in customer’s analytics and track and trace.

Body: Can be left blank or have text if desired

Forward/Reply Text: This is unchecked by default. If testing a reply/fwd email, check this box and enter “Fwd:” or “Re:” in the subject line prior to test. IE… for testing a forwarded email or an email reply

MTA: You can use any of these severs: Only use ML Server

Send Email: Click to send the email to yourself.

Note: If a change was made to the Template or the User, it may need up to 5-10 mins to propagate through the system.
