Intent Audience Data

Intent Audience Data

The Pearl Diver Intent Feature allows you to identify, segment, and prioritize prospects based on their intent data. This guide will help you understand how to use the Intent Feature to improve audience targeting and align with your sales and marketing goals.

What is the Intent Data Feature?

The Intent Feature helps you leverage intent signals—data that shows the behavior and interests of potential customers.
By identifying these intent signals, you can:
  1. Target high-value prospects showing buying interest.
  2. Prioritize outreach based on engagement.
  3. Align campaigns with intent-driven behavior.

Key Capabilities

  1. Intent Signals: View and understand topics generating interest.
  2. Audience Segmentation: Create targeted audiences based on intent filters.
  3. Send to Meta: Send & create intent audiences directly into your Meta ad account.
    1. View our Guide on setting up the Meta integration.

Creating and Updating your Intent Data Audiences

We are developing the feature for self-service, to be able to add/edit the Intent Audiences in the dashboard itself. But for now you will need to either email or book a Zoom call with us to create/update these.
You can book a session from your dashboard by clicking the Intent button pictured below and clicking "Book a time"

How do I access the Data?

When you setup Intent with our team we will provide you access to your own SharePoint folder which will create a Google and Meta formatted Hashed CSV with the intent data for the day. These are pre-formatted and hashed (encrypted for privacy standards) so you can simply upload them directly to your Google or Meta ads accounts for immediate use. This will then match within the respective platform and let you know how many users were able to be matched.
We also have a Meta integration, once you have intent setup and have authorized the Meta App (You may need to request this to be added to your account) we can then automate the daily import upon request. We are also developing a Google integration to accomplish the same.

Where does the data come from?

Our buying intent product is built on insights from over half a million websites across the USA. Each site is analyzed using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to identify the products or services they offer.
By applying de-anonymization technology, we can determine who visits these websites. We then analyze metadata such as the pages they view and their frequency of visits within a 24-hour period to calculate an intent score. This score reflects the likelihood of interest in a specific product or service.
We take it a step further by matching these visitor profiles against our comprehensive identity graph. This process allows us to deliver intent data, enabling precise marketing strategies.

For example, if you want to target individuals in the Fort Lauderdale area aged 25-35 with an income over $100,000 who have shown interest in Mercedes-Benz, our system makes that possible.

All data is encrypted using a one-way hash algorithm to ensure users' personal information remains safe and anonymous. This approach allows our customers to securely match records in ad platforms against hashed data like names, emails, and phone numbers. By keeping your data compliant, we empower you to take the lead with highly targeted ads, ensuring potential buyers come to your website instead of your competitors'.
