Open Notifications Issue: Recipient forwards or copy & paste a URL into another email

If a Sender includes a tracked URL in their email and the recipient either:
  1. Forwards that email to someone else; or
  2. Cuts and pastes the URL into a new email
Each subsequent click of that URL is attributed to the original recipient.

Example:
John sends Mike an email containing a URL to a shared drive. Mike cuts and pastes that URL into a fresh email and sent it to someone else.
John will receive open link notifications saying that "Mike" has clicked the URL even if it's another recipient. This will happen for anyone who receives and clicks the URL.

Problem:
Customers consider this a bug and think that BPM is sending false-positives on clicks.

Solution:
This is a benefit to the Sender. It provides some useful information on the activity of the URL beyond the original recipient. Black Pearl Mail will be enhancing this specific type of extended open link notifications to include valuable data to the original sender. Data like: device, connection type, client, geo, etc.
