Configure Google Workspace with Black Pearl Mail
STEP 1 – Login and go to Gmail Settings
Go to your Gmail Administrator settings: http://admin.google.com/
1) Click the Apps icon in the top left corner:
2) Hover over Apps then click G Suite from the menu:
3) Click on Gmail and begin your set up:
STEP 2 – Set up a new mail route
- Click the Hosts
- Click the Add Route
- In the pop up enter:
- Name: Black Pearl Mail
- Hostname: smtp-global.blackpearlmail.com
- Port number: 25
- Ensure Require secure transport (TLS) is checked
- Ensure Require CA signed certificate is checked
- Click Save
STEP 3 – Setting up advanced rules
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Advanced Settings
- Scroll down to the Routing section of the page
- Hover over the SMTP relay service and click on Configure or Add another that appears to the right
- Enter description as Black Pearl Relay
- Change allowed senders to Only addresses in my domain
- Check Only accept mail from the specified IP addresses
- Add the following IP ranges:
- Black Pearl West US => 13.86.181.222
- Black Pearl East US => 13.86.126.189
- Black Pearl Central US => 52.224.189.79
- All other fields can be left blank
- Click Save
- Click Add Setting
- Add the following IP ranges:
STEP 4 – Configure Compliance settings
- Scroll up to the Compliance section of the page
- Hover over Content Compliance
- Click the button Configure or Add another that appears to the right.
- Set description to Black Pearl Compliance
- Select the Email messages to affect as
- Outbound
- Internal Sending
- Choose to add an expression
- Select advanced content match.
- Location should be set to Full headers
- Match type set to not contains text
- Add to the content field X-BP and save the expression.
- Click Save
- Select the Email messages to affect as
- Scroll to If the above expressions match do the following
- Under Headers - Check “Add X-GM-Original-To header”
- Under Route - Check “Change Route”
- Select Black Pearl Mail from the dropdown.
- Click “Add Setting”
STEP 5 – Save all Advanced Configuration
Select Save at the bottom right corner of the page to apply all changes.
