Configure your Mailchimp Integration with Pearl Diver

Integrating Pearl Diver with Mailchimp empowers businesses to harness Pearl Diver’s advanced lead intelligence for automatic segmentation and precise targeting of high-value prospects. This integration allows companies to deliver highly personalized email marketing campaigns and retarget website visitors based on real-time behavior and intent data, driving more effective engagement and increasing conversion rates.

Prerequisites

Before configuring the Mailchimp integration, ensure the following are in place:
  1. Mailchimp Account: You must have an active Mailchimp account set up.
  2. Pearl Diver Audience: Make sure you’ve created at least one audience in Pearl Diver. This will define the data and audience segments you want to sync with Mailchimp through the integration.

Step 1: Enable MailChimp Integration

  1. Go to your Dashboard: Log in to your Pearl Diver account and navigate to the Dashboard.
  2. Under Destinations, select the MailChimp option: Locate the 'Destinations' section on the Dashboard and choose 'MailChimp'.
  3. Click the "Enable" toggle: This will initiate the process to set up the integration.

  1. Click “Authorize”: A prompt will appear to authorize the integration. 

Step 2. Authorize MailChimp Integration

  1. A new window will open where you can authorize the MailChimp integration.


The Pearl Diver integration asks permission to access Mailchimp data, this is so that the integration can create Pearl Diver fields detailed below. The integration will never delete contacts.

What Data Fields from Pearl Diver are default mapped with Mailchimp

Default fields will be automatically mapped in Mailchimp. Please note, all other Pearl Diver data fields will require custom mapping. which requires development assistance at this stage.  Please reach out to our support team via support@blackpearl.com for more information.

How the Pearl Diver data will be displayed in Mailchimp's interface?

For MailChimp accounts that allow audience creation:

  1. Click Audience

  2. Select the audience 'PearlDiver'
  3. View all contacts synced from the Pearl Diver application


For MailChimp accounts that is on Free plan:

  1. Click the 1 audience available and filter contacts from ‘PearlDiver' using tags. Contacts from ‘PearlDiver' has 'Lead from Pearl Diver' tag. Click 'View’ to see the contacts.
  2. Alternatively, select 'Segments' and click on 'Create segment'
  3. Select 'Tags' to filter contacts into segment using tags.
  4. Select ‘Lead from Pearl Diver' from the dropdown. Click 'Use segment'.
  5. Name the segment and click 'Save & exit'.
  6. View your segment by clicking on it.
