# Updating Google Routing to exception automated emails

## This guide walks a user through adding in a check for automations in google, and if it's found skips the Black Pearl Mail email routing, allowing it to flow as normal.

#### STEP 1 – Login and go to Gmail Settings

Go to your Gmail Administrator settings: [http://admin.google.com/](http://admin.google.com/)

Click Apps-\> Google Workspace -\>Gmail -\> Compliance

#### STEP 2 – Access the Black Pearl Mail Compliance settings

1. Scroll down and find the Black Pearl Compliance created previously.
2. Click Edit.

#### STEP 3 – Update the Black Pearl Mail Compliance settings

1. Add an Expression

2. Select Advanced Content Matching.

3. Select Envelope Sender  
   Not Contains Text

4. Then click Save.
5. And Save again.

#### STEP 4 – Test
